As New York Fashion Week Fall 2012 rolls on, I’m excited to share some of my favorite looks, designers and trends from the runways.
The Fall collections have always excited me personally because, more often than not, they frequently bring with them new ways of thinking about standard sportswear pieces. That’s why Escada’s RTW Fall 2012 collection thrills me so.
Classic items were updated and re-invigorated for a runway full of practical, chic and fresh looks. Some of my favorite illusions included a vertically striped silk dress with a vertical ‘almost-ombre’ effect and elbow length trumpet sleeve and the touch of asymmetry added to everyone’s favorite camel colored fall coat.
Leather pants cut as cropped jeans were electrified with a multicolor patterned silk blouse – a triumph.
See? Practical, chic and fresh. You’ll never go wrong.
What do you think? Which looks are your fave?
